Letters and Sounds (Phonics) using Songs and Videos
One of the basic reading skills for young children is to learn
and recognize letters and their sounds. I previewed and reviewed some of the
best songs or videos on you tube that can help your child learn and remember
the letter names and their sounds.
Play the songs/videos
as often as you can. I tried to list the ones that had a good tune and that
would appeal to young children. Some of the songs also incorporate motions or
movements as a technique. These songs are very useful with students with short
attention span (like children with ADHD) and ELL students.

the graphics of the song even though the tune is a little bit monotonous. You can
probably use it more for toddlers.
